Nzoia, AFC Leopards biggest losers in weekend KPL matches
Early league leaders Nzoia United and AFC Leopards were the greatest casualties last weekend as they both lost their league matches in Bungoma and Kisumu respectively.
Nzoia United, who came back to the top flight soccer with a powerful 5-2 win over Tusker on day one of action, suffered a shocking 2-0 defeat to Kariobangi Sharks at home in Bungoma’s Sudi. This was Kariobangi Sharks first win this season.
AFC Leopards on the other hand lost 2-0 to Chemelil Sugar in Kisumu as Western Stima were 1-0 losers against Posta Rangers.
Sofapaka’s Pate Wanok scored the fastest goal this season when he nodded home Moses Odhiambo’s cross in under one minute of the high scoring match against Tusker. Tusker however later recovered from a goal down with goals from Allan Wanga and Michael Khamati to hold Sofapaka to a 2-2 draw.
