Nakuru to host Kenya vs Zimbabwe Victoria Cup tie
Kenya’s final Victoria Cup match against log leaders Zimbabwe on September 21 will be held at the Nakuru Athletic Club
Kenya’s final Victoria Cup match against log leaders Zimbabwe on September 21 will be held at the Nakuru Athletic Club, the Kenya Rugby Union has announced.
This, according to KRU, is in line with its strategic plan to decentralize national team matches, coming hot on the heels of the Elgon Cup match against Uganda being held in Kisumu.
Zimbabwe who have two matches left in the four-nation tournament sit top of the standings with 17 points, one ahead of Kenya who they beat in the first leg in Harare. The Southern Africans will play Kenya before travelling to Harare to play Zambia.
Kenya have won all but one of its Victoria matches, their only loss coming at the hands of the Sables with a 29-30 shortfall in Harare. The Simbas will be out to exert revenge and a possible assault of the title when Zimbabwe comes home.
