Mururi ditches Kisumu All Stars for Sofapaka

Sofapaka coach John Baraza has confirmed that the former Kenyan international will be part of his backroom staff as he looks to turn the club’s fortunes around following a slow start to the season.

Former Homeboyz and Chemelil Sugar head coach Mike Mururi has by-passed an option of joining Kisumu All Stars as head coach and instead opted to join 2009 champions Sofapaka as assistant coach.

Mururi was asked to step in and save the All Stars relegation bound sinking ship and while it was expected he would start work at the club as soon as possible, he instead jumped into the Sofapaka bandwagon.
