Missing Gor Mahia players replaced in Harambee Stars

Kenya coach Stanley Okumb has called in seven to replace Gor Mahia players who failed to link up with the national soccer team Harambee Stars due to club commitment.

The Five Gor Mahia players who will miss the friendly match include goalkeeper : Boniface Oluoch, Musa Mohammed, Harun Shakava, Ernest Wendo and Kenneth Muguna.

Kenya’s Harambee Stars has lined up a friendly match against Malawi in Machakos on April 18th .The match will feature only local based players as coach Okumbi prepares a team ahead of the 2018 CHAN Championships to be held in Nairobi

The five are Brian Birgen (Ulinzi FC), Victor Majid (Chemilil FC), Zeka Wakoli (GFE FC), Victor Ogedo (Nzoia FC), Shami Mwinyi (Thika United), Ian Otieno (AFC Leopards) and James Saruni (Ulinzi FC)

Also, AFC Leopards Paul Kiongera is out injured, Ulinzi Stars Omar Bongi has been sent for further military studies and is also unavailable for the match while Tusker FC’s Noah Wafula has been given time off to condole with his family following the recent passing of his son.
