2017 Kenyan Premier League golden boot winner Masoud Juma recovery progress from an injury looks promising as he is back in full training.

The former Kariobangi Sharks goal poacher joined Cape Town City this year after a dream season in KPL where he bagged 18 league goals to emerge the top scorer.

Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy is optimistic Juma will be ready soon and could add punch that his side is lacking upfront.

“Juma has been looking OK‚ he has started joining in [full training] and now it is getting him to play in matches and getting him that confidence,” McCarthy told Sowetan Live.

“We need to get the fitness level up where he can last at least 45 minutes‚ but from what I have seen he looks a decent acquisition and somebody that we will need.

“Hopefully we can get Juma back for the upcoming games that we have got.”

At Cape Town City, Juma has the company of former AFC Leopard’s playmaker Alan Kateregga.
