Kenya Ports Authority are the new Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) Women’s Basketball champions after winning the decisive match three playoff encounter against defending champions Equity Hawks at the Makande Gymnasium  in Mombasa on Sunday 27 February 2022.

The two teams got into this fixture with KPA leading 2-1, Equity having won the opening encounter 53-51 in Nairobi on February 19 before KPA levelled matters with a 58-45 victory that took game three to Mombasa.

Anthony Ojukwu’s charges then went ahead with a 77-63 game three victory that left them one game away from the title.

They would then win the decider 70-64 in a game that saw the experienced duo of Hilda Indasi and Natalie Akinyi each contribute 32 points as Betty Kananu top scored for Equity with 21 points.
