Kimanzi calls up 16 locals to start Comoros preps

On form AFC Leopards hitman Elvis Rupia makes a return to the national team training camp after almost two years while there are debuts for KCB right back Baraka Badi and Wazito FC midfielder Brian Musa.

Harambee Stars head coach Francis Kimanzi has called up 16 local based players to kick start a training camp ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification double header against Comoros at the end of the month.

Youngster Collins Shichenje who has been part of the junior teams has also been drafted in for his senior chance after impressing at AFC Leopards.

The camps have been scheduled on 9th and 10th March, and 16th and 17th March, 2020, at the Nyayo National Stadium starting from 9 am to 11:30 am.

The coach will then name foreign based players who will join the local based players for residential training ahead of the back to back qualifiers.
