Kimanzi and Okumbi to be part of Migne’s backroom staff
Junior Harambee Star coaches to be part of Migne’s backroom staff

Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne has disclosed he will incorporate head coaches of the junior national team to the senior teams as he looks to imprint a similar thinking and style of play across all levels of the national team.
As thus, Migne says he will rotate between U17 coach Michael Amenga, U20 coach Stanley Okumbi and U23 coach Francis Kimanzi during various training sessions. Kimanzi was present on Thursday afternoon as the team trained for Friday’s friendly against Swaziland.
“In my staff, I have my French assistant and after that we have the coaches for U23, U20 and U17. They will be part of my staff, to exchange with them and at this time I choose Kimanzi to help me in my task,” the coach said after the training session.
“In the future, I will choose who I can have. We will see whether it will be possible to have Kimanzi with this team and the U23 team as well depending on the calendar. We will also organize some days for all of them to work together and exchange ideas about games and opponents and training programs,” the French coach said.
Stars held their final training session in Nairobi on Thursday before heading to Machakos on Friday morning for the afternoon kick off against the Swazis who arrived in Machakos on Wednesday night.
