Kerr to give all players a chance against Hull City

All Gor Mahia players will have a chance to parade their skills against English Championship side Hull City on Sunday

Gor Mahia tactician has hinted that he will give all players a chance to play against English Premiership side Hull City on Sunday in a friendly match to be staged at Kasarani Stadium from 3pm.

The exhibition match organized by betting firm SportPesa seeks to expose the local players to Hull City scouts.

Kerr who has been rotating his squad in the wake of a busy schedule in SportPesa Premier League and CAF Confederation Cup wants to ensure all players have a chance to impress on Sunday.

"We will do what we did against Everton and give Hull a chance to may be see one player good enough to go to the championship in England,” Kerr told the official Gor Mahia website.

“I want to show Hull City how good we are. l know what my team can do… we have very able players with great talent and so, we are down for it,” Kerr added.

Coach Kerr was in charge of Gor Mahia when they lost 2-1 to Premier League side Everton FC in Tanzania last year.

Tickets for the Gor Mahia vs Hull City match are available from four select vans located at Baba Dogo, Githurai, Safari Park and Kenya Cinema. Regular tickets retail at Ksh 100 with the purchaser entitled to a branded water can or a key holder. VIP tickets cost  Ksh 1000 and entitles one to a branded Hull City jersey or SportPesa jersey.

SportPesa boss Ronald Karauri  has reportedly placed his stake on Gor Mahia winning and if K’Ogalo triumps he will take home a Toyota Probox from Kalenjin’s Propesa Comedian Kimutai Ruto. Should he lose the bet, Karauri will surrender his Range Rover.

Meanwhile, Kasarani Stadium is all set to host the friendly match. Final touches were being put on Friday with both Gor Mahia and Hull City expected to have a feel of the pitch on Saturday.

After the Hull City friendly, Gor Mahia have Algeria’s USM Alger in wait for them in a CAF Confederations Cup second group D match to be played at the same stadium on Wednesday from 7pm Kenyan time.
