Kenyans sweep 2018 Paris Marathon
Betsy Saina and Paul Lonyangata won the women's and men's 42nd Paris Marathon
Paul Lonyangata successfully defended his men's crown as Kenyans swept the 42nd edition of the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon races on Sunday winning both the men and women's events.
Betsy Saina who is based in US cut the tape after 2.22.55 to bag her first major marathon title.Ruth Chepngetich timed 2:22:59 to finish second with Ethiopia's Gulume Chala clocking 2:23:06 to finish on third position in the Women's marathon.
Lonyangata timed 2:06:25 to finish ahead of compatriots in a Kenyan 1-2-3. Mathew Kisorio was second (2:06:36) while Ernest Ngeno completed the top three after clocking 2:06:41.
