Kenyans dominate 1500m and 5000m at World Para Grand Prix in Dubai
Rodgers Kiprop topped an all-Kenyan podium in the men’s 5,000 metres T11/T12/T13 final at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday 13 February.
Kiprop clinched victory in a time of 15min 37.82sec, finishing ahead of Benard Koskei, who clocked 14:58.61.
John Lokedi completed the top three in 15:03.52 ahead of fellow Kenyan Wilson Bii, who recorded a time of 15:58.20.
There was also a Kenyan podium sweep in the men’s 1500m T46 final, won by Felix Kipruto.
He crossed the finish line in 4:03.34 to earn gold ahead of Wesley Kimeli Sang in 4:04.43 and Stanley Kipkoech Misik in 4:05.92.
