Kenya's U-20 Starlets rally to hold Ethiopia

Kenya’s junior women national soccer team the Harambee Starlets on Sunday picked a crucial point away to Ethiopia during the first leg of the first round 2018 Africa U20 World Cup Qualifiers played on Sunday, September 17, at the Hawassa International Stadium in Ethiopia.

The Kenyan girls staged a resilient performance that saw them come from two goals down to draw 2-2 against the hosts who had an early 2-0 lead at half time courtesy of goals by Mirkat Felek and Alamnesh Germew.

Corazon Aquino scored from the spot n the 86th minute   before Maureen Khakasa netted the leveller deep into stoppage time for shared spoils.

The return leg of the same  match will be played in Kenya on September 29 with the aggregate winner facing the winner of  the match between Algeria and Ghana .
