Kenya Sevens are through to the Singapore Sevens Cup quarterfinals after a 33-14 win over USA at the  National Stadium in Singapore on Saturday.

In need of a win or a draw to make it to the Main Cup quarter final, Kenya 7s’s work was clearly cut out. Willy Ambaka set Kenya off with the first try while  Sammy Oliech deelivered a big hand-off to secure another try at the stroke of the first half.

Oliech continued with his fine form by scoring another try in the 10th minute to cover off  Kevon William's try for the USA.

Andrew Amonde hit the 50th HSBC mark with a brilliant try for Kenya before captain Ouma continued the rout over Mike Friday's USA with another try.

Brett Thomspon pulled a late try for the USA 7s but it could not cut the celebrations for Kenya 7s who romped into the third consecutive quarterfinal in the 2018 HSBC  Rugby Sevens series.

Shujaa  lost the first match 28-19 to England 7s  but recovered to beat France 7s 38-0.

Kenya 7s will meet South Africa in the  quarterfinal tomorrow, Sunday April 29, 2018 at 7:52am Kenya time.
