Kenya Beach volleyball teams seek podium finish in Cape Verde

Two sets of Kenyan beach volleyball team will be out for a podium performance as the Africa beach Volleyball championships commence in Cape Verde.

The Kenya women beach volleyball team will open their Africa Beach championships campaign with a match against Sierra Leone while their men counterparts will be in action against Sudan as the tournament begins in Cape Verde.
Kenya will be represented by Ibrahim Odouri and James Mwaniki (men), while Gaudencia Makokha and Naomi Too will be represneting the nation in the women competition.
The beach championships will also feature other sports including: beach football, athletics, handball and Karate .
The Men Volleyball teams were divided into 6 preliminary pools of 3 teams each according to the CAVB Ranking as follows
Pool A: Cape Verde (Organizer)- Sudan- Kenya
Pool B: Morocco- Tunisia- Zimbabwe
Pool C: Mozambique- Gambia- Congo RD
Pool D: Sierra Leone- Algeria- Togo
Pool E: Angola- Mauritius- South Sudan
Pool F: Ghana- Nigeria- Central Africa
The 17 Teams of the women tournament were divided according to the regulations to 4 Pool one of them includes 5 teams and the three others 4 teams owing to the last CAVB Ranking as follows:
Pool A: Cape Verde(Organizers)- Algeria- Gambia- Tanzania- South Sudan
Pool B: Nigeria- Sierra Leone- Kenya- Guinea Bissau
Pool C: Mauritius- Niger- Guinea Conakry- Angola
Pool D: Mozambique- Morocco- Namibia- Congo RD
