Kenya 15s juniors reach Barthes Cup final

The Kenyan Under-20 Rugby 15s squad produced a virtuoso performance to beat Madagascar 51-13 on Wednesday evening at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek, Namibia and progress to the final of the Barthes Cup.

Chipu dominated the entire match and led 27-13 at the break. They continued their dominance in the second half where they picked 24 unanswered points against the Madagascans.

For the Saturday final, the side coached by Paul Odera will now meet the winner of the tie between Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Whoever comes out top from this tie will earn a battle against the North Zone winner for Africa’s sole berth to the 2018 Junior World Rugby Trophy.
