KDF to miss National league playoffs
Kenya Defense Forces will miss this year’s national league playoffs after failing to sparkle on the final day of league action held in Eldama Ravine on Friday.
KDF failed to finish within the top four bracket after their 3 -1 (25-18, 24-26, 25-22, 25-19) disappointing loss to the now popular Kenya Ports Authority in a decider match.
Earlier at the same venue on Friday, league leaders General Service Unit (GSU) sealed their supremacy at the summit of the log with 33 points following their 3-0 (25-21, 25-20,25-21) win against rivals Kenya Prisons.
The top four men’s team for the playoffs will be GSU, Prisons, Nairobi Water and KPA.
It will be the same script in the contest for the national women title with Prison and Pipeline expected to make it to the finals in Mombasa on the weekend of November 27th.Prison on Friday completed their unbeaten record this season and will be out to reclaim their title after losing to Pipeline for two years in a row.
Prison humbled Pipeline 3-1(25-23,23-25,25-19-28-26) in their final league match in Eldama Ravine despite missing three key players Mercy Moim , Everlyne Makuto and Loice Jepkosgei.
Kenya Commercial Bank and Nairobi Water's last are the other two women teams chasing the coveted national title.
