The national soccer team Harambee Stars settled for a 1-1 draw with Uganda Cranes in a lively international friendly match played at Machakos stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Micheal Olunga gave Kenya the only  goal  in the 35th minute with a low left foot shot well placed on the near post past custodian Ochan.

Kenya lead 1-0 at the break with several missed chances.

Coach Okumbi  started the second half with introduction of Simon Mbugua for Musa Mohammed.

Midway in the second period, surprise starter Noah Wafula missed from close range after blasting wide Micheal Olunga's cross. That was his final contribution for the day as Mark Makwatta took his place a minute later.

Striker Olunga also paved way for Paul Were.

Robinson Kamura’s 69th minute free kick brought the crowd into their feet but was another tale of the missed chances.

Uganda Cranes debutant Moses Waiswa levelled in the 86th minute with a power packed shot.

The draw extends Harambee Star’s unbeaten matches to nine.
