Gor land Napsa as Confederations Cup playoff draw announced

Gor drawn against Zambia's Napsa Stars in CAF Confederation Cup playoff

Gor Mahia have been drawn against Zambian side Napsa Stars in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off round after the draw was condcuted on Friday 8 January 2021.  Two former Gor players, Shaban Odhoji and Timothy Otieno turn out for the Zambian side. 

The 19 time Kenyan champions who won the 1987 Africa Cup Winners Cup were eliminated from the CAF Champions League following an 8-1 aggregate loss to Algeria’s CR Belouizdad.

Napsa eliminated Malawian side UD Songo on the away goals rule in their Confed Cup first round fixture, playing to a 0-0 draw in Lusaka on 22 December 2020 before securing a 1-1 draw in Blantyre on 6 January 2021.

 The winner of this two-legged tie will advance to the group stages of the second tier African club competition.
