Go slow in Stars camp over bonuses and arrears

Harambee Stars have threatened not to travel to Cape Verde to honour the return leg of the World Cup qualifier following the failure by the team’s handlers to settle their standing bonuses and arrears.

The team was initially scheduled to jet out for Cape Verde on Friday night but failed to do so after the players stood their ground leading to breakage of camp.

The foreign based players who came for the Friday game against Cape Verde which they won 1-0 have also not been reimbursed their air-ticket refunds.

The government took over the management and running affairs of the team but its long bureaucracy procedures is delaying the disbursement of the funds.
