FKF gives branches a Monday deadline to submit names of clubs

Football Kenya Federation has given all branches and sub-branches a Monday deadline to submit the names of clubs that are eligible to vote in the forthcoming national elections.

The vetting process of the clubs has already began but  the grassroots officials that are yet to submit their list, five days after the initial deadline are now on notice.

“We must ensure that there is a thorough scrutiny of these clubs because we want to have a very transparent election so any delays in submission of the list means we will be under pressure,” FKF president, Sam Nyamweya, said in an intervie with the federations’  website

The national elections are scheduled to begin on October 29 (sub-branch) and culminate with the national polls to be held on November 13, eight days after the branch elections to be conducted on November 5.

Fierce competition is already shaping out for the national chairman position with Kariobangi Sharks boss Nick Mwendwa and former Youth Funds boss Gor Semelang’o being the two major hopefuls to unseat the incumbent Sam Nyamweya.
