Kenya Pipeline bowed out of the title race of the ongoing Women's Africa Volleyball Club Championships after falling to defending champions Al Ahly on Saturday in Cairo, Egypt.
The six-time continental holders will now have to fight for position three against GS Petroliers of Algeria at Ahly Hall. Though offering stubborn opposition in the semis, Margaret Indakala's lineup Surrendered 3-1 (25-13, 25-18, 23-25, 25-20) to the defending champions . The Oilers were the only remaining Kenyan outfit in the title contention after both Kenya Prisons and Kenya Commercial Bank dropped off the race at the group stage.
