After the win, Mukumu boys captain Eugene Oluoch  praised his side for showing great team work , “ We have been training hard for this tournament and we hope to go through to national finals. We understand each other well and this is our secret to success.”

In the second match of the afternoon, despite a spirited comeback late in the second half Kapsokwony boys from Mount Elgon were eliminated after losing 3-2 in an entertaining five goals thriller against Lugari Blue Saints .

Dennis Atsenga was the destroyer in chief for the Saints netting twice with his opening goal coming in the 23rd minute from close range fierce shot inside the box.

Saints went to the break with a 2-0 cushion after Kipleting Noel added a second with a rocket shot just 4 minutes to half time.

Kapsokwony was a different tea in the second period pulling two goals back through Tendet Kelvin and Kiteiyo Collins but a third strike by Atsenga sealed their fate, Saints marching to the finals with a 3-2 win.
