A delegation of CAF officials is currently in the country for a  third and final inspection ahead of the CHAN 2018 tournament scheduled to be hosted in Kenya in January 2018

According to an itinerary of events released by Football Kenya Federation on Tuesday morning , the team will  head to Meru on Wednesday where they will meet with the new Meru Governor before proceeding to inspect the Kinoru Stadium.

On Thursday the delegation will meet Nairobi Governor before an inspection of Kasarani Stadium and thereafter  carry out an inspection of hotels set to host CHAN teams in the afternoon on Thursday.

The team will then head to Eldoret on Friday for a meeting with the Uasin Gishu Governor, before an inspection of the Kipchoge Keino Stadium.

Kenya has been on the spot for delayed construction and refurbishment of facilities  earmarked for the CHAN championships in January with pundits having initially indicated that Kenya might be stripped the hosting rights due to lack of commitment from stakeholders and the government to fasten completion of key facilities.
