Bitok to end a decade of 'dreams rising' in Rwanda

Kenya's Paul Bitok will this year end his Ten years of service in Rwanda as head of volleyball development

Celebrated Kenyan international middle blocker and coach, Paul Busienei Bitok will finally called it a day on June 30, 2019 after a decade as the head of Rwandese volleyball development.

Bitok has been behind Rwanda’s rise in volleyball as the head of various national teams and he leaves a legacy to be remembered for generations.

The much admired tactician has garnered mixed fortunes in Rwanda with both the indoor and beach volleyball national teams including senior men and women, youth, junior and with girls’ and boys’ schools. He has also been involved in the administration and management of the sport in Rwanda.

Bitok, who on Saturday, April 27, 2019 led the Rwanda’s men and women’s beach volleyball teams to silver and bronze in Nigeria said:

“I thank God for giving me strength, health, good working environment and good leaders both in Federation and Ministry of sports and culture,”

“Congratulations to beach volleyball teams for concluding my long journey with Silver and Bronze medals in 2019 African championships cum world championships qualifiers with big history to tell and share with others” He added.
