All set for Mount Kenya Extreme Sports Challenge

This year’s edition of the Mount Kenya Extreme Sports Challenge will be held between 7th to 9th August with a variety of extreme adventure activities lined up.

The event , organized by Kenya school of adventure (KESAL) in partnership with KWS, KFS and KTB targets to bring back the mountain’s lost glory and also act as a tourism attraction that could eventually grow into a sporting brand like “Spartan Race” In the USA.

This year’s edition will be a two in one event; Kesal Extreme Adventure Scramble Series and Kesal Jungle Marathon that will be open to participants and spectators from all walks of life, from outdoor extreme adventure enthusiasts, camping lovers to those who love the thrill of adventure.

According to organizers of the event, the Extreme Challenge is expected to among other objectives: Finance Youth development & leadership training in Kesal, Promote Environmental & Animal Conservation, introduce adventure sports tourism as well as facilitate effective and result oriented team building.

The event will be held at Kenya school of adventure and leadership base camp in Meru.
