Nzoia Sugar FC to conclude trials this week

Updated on 23/01/12  |    By ALEX ISOE

Nzoia Sugar FC continues with its quest for top flight soccer comeback. This week the club is finalizing on trials in search of the final 25 players who will form the special comeback team. Earlier last week, over 100 trialists turned up but the same was cut down this week to 40.

According to the team’s interim coach Evans Kadenge, they had used the tournament held in Bungoma in December 2011 to select 50 players for the trials but over 100 players from all over western jammed the stadium the trials.

“We could not lock them out, they were so many and all of them are thirsty for a chance.” Said Kadenge.

“We have been forced to extend the trials because we had not expected such a big turnout. Over 100 players turned up and we have so far seaved them out to just 40.By the end of the week we hope to have a final list of 25 players who will then contract.” Said Kadenge.
