Milimani conclude trials, change name to Homabay FC

Milimani FC has changed its name to Homabay County FC. The team has recruited a twenty five man squad that will embark training with a main objective to seek promotion to the Kenya Premier league come next season. Milimani FC finished fifth position in the Kenya Football federation sponsored nationwide league behind league winners Muhoroni youth that has been promoted to the K.P.L, Ligi Ndogo, Kariobangi Sharks and Iron Strikers.

The players selected are mainly from Homabay County clubs that have been doing well in the local league. In a friendly match to assess the ability of the players selected, Homabay County FC defeated Mbita united (4-3).Enos Abonga, Glens Ochieng, Austin Odiwuor and Wycliffe Ganda scored for HBCMFC while Steve Onyango, Edwin Nyaema and Boniface Okomo hit the net for Mbita.

The 25 players selected after the trials are:

GOALKEEPERS:
William Ouko and Jimmy Rodgers

DEFENDERS:
Samson Otiku, Danish Omondi, Derrick Otieno, Zachary Ouma, Steve Bicko, Maurice Yobo, Phelix Atito and Victor Omondi

MIDFIELDERS:
Colince Otieno, Colince Omondi, Gabriel Opiyo, Glens Ochieng, Festo China, Vincent Omondi, Steve Onyango, Bob Okombo ,  Justus Otieno and Kenneth Odhiambo

STRIKERS:
Enos Ochieng, Austin Odiwuor, Wycliffe Ganda, Danish Onyango, Mbani Patrick, Edwin Nyaema and Yusuf Mohamed.

The team manager will be Kennedy Onyango, while the team will be coached by Ken Dede, Peter Uhuru and the co-odinator is the Nyanza West sub branch chairman Tom Ogol.
