BIDCO’s change of strategy - Ready for the new season

Updated on 30/01/12  |    By ALEX ISOE

Thika based Division One side BIDCO FC is looking forward for the new season with a lot of expectation. The club has adapted a professional outlook where team players will not be required to work at the company during off pitch hours as has been in the past. This has however led to an exodus of players who have decided to choose the company over the club hence forcing the coach Juma Abdalla to rebuild a new team a head of the new season.

The team that will be playing in the Division one, Eastern zone finished in the 11th position and will be hoping for a much improved performance in the new season hopefully, they will be able to secure promotion to the top flight.

“We want our players to focus with playing football and have more time for training comparing the other seasons where the players were still employees of the company so they had to go to work in the morning then train late in the evening. BIDCO FC is turning professional, now players will no longer have to work as employees of the company but only play professional football and  nothing more.” he said

The coach Juma Abdullah has already unveiled his new signings that include former Congo united Midfielder Suleiman Mwasiri, Gusii united Duncan Ochieng, newly promoted KPL side Muhoroni Youth players Veron Omondi, Oscar Mkenya, Oscar Kamana, Wilson Njoroge, Babu Hija and Alex Kiguta

“My expectation is to play in the KPL next season because I have a great team and with the new signings coming on board, I will bring the much needed experience that will propel the team into the KPL next season” he said
