Flying Laukkanen drops out of Safari Rally

Day three of the Safari Rally has seen several top drivers crash out of the competition with the biggest causality of the day being Finland’s Tapio Laukkanen who led the race in the opening two days.

Tapio who was the favorite to win the Rally limped out of the race after breaking his Subaru Impreza’s rear trailing Arm over the transport section enroute to Loldiaga Gate roadside service.

Tapio (2.21.45) was still leading the race after the CS11 Kibirichia section 

Other drivers who have dropped out include Quentin Michell who broke down along the Meeru Forest stage and Izhar Mirza of Coast Pekee who was a victim of gear box failure also along the Meru Forest.
