Flash Tundo after winning a previous event

Newly crowned Kenya National Rally Champion KNRC   Carl "Flash" Tundo navigated by sister Tash Di Cangio won the 33rd KCB Guru Nanak Rally on Sunday afternoon in a time of 1.38.10.

Baldev Singh Chager, the 2004 Guru Nanak winner and 2008 KNRC Champion  in his state-of-the-art Subaru  N16  car Came second in a time of 1.40 46  therefore failing to register his  much anticipated first win of the season.

In third was Azar  Anwar the veteran who was hoping to have the  top podium finish in the Guru Nanak Rally  that started at Suswa and Kedong  before finishing along the forest road.

This was the first time Tundo swapped Navigators. His navigator Tim Jessop who has been with him  since 2004 was navigating Flash dad Frank.

 “Having a clean rally is one of the best gifts for rally drivers. I am happy to have finished second. To be honest I could have loved first position for the first time since 2004 in this rally. It could have been my first of the season as well.” Said Chager

 “I am enjoying the machine  which has proven to be very fast therefore giving me an edge  especially on rough conditions.” Added the 2008 KNRC Champion.
