Former KNRC champion Baldev Chager  is leading the National Autocross 3 event having won the weekend event held at the Portland Quarry in Athi River.

 The event was organized by Sikh Union Nairobi and supported by East African Portland Cement Limited who offered the racetrack. 

Chager, who won the first round in Athi River and the second at Jamhuri Park, clocked 5miniutes 46.20 seconds to beat his Menengai Oil teammate Onkar Rai to second place in the Open Class.

He was the only driver to race under 2 minutes in all his four heat runs including the fastest heat time of the day in the fourth heat which he cleared in 1.55.30minutes.

Newcomer Anita Irwin was the surprise winner in the 4WD Non-Turbo class in Nish Lakhani's Kenya Cat Land Rover hybrid car. Nish who is the reigning car class champion in the Rally Raid series was present in the quarry track to cheer on Anita who has previously navigated Samira Khan in the KNRC.
