Baldev Singh Chager who leads the 2013 KNRC with 80 points is among the 55 drivers who have confirmed participation in the KCB Kenya National Rally Championship set for this weekend in Nyeri.

The 2008 national champion won the season opener in Kajiado in February followed by the cancellation of the Voi leg last month due to the recently concluded General Elections.

Boldy will be driving his new Evo X this weekend something he is looking forward to with a lot of anxiety.

"The Mitsubishi is a different car to drive. We've been out testing it a couple of times but we've ended up doing lots of little changes on the car. We have already had issues with the gearbox and the setting of the suspension-but we got that sorted out.” said the series leader.

“The KNRC is very competitive at the moment. Ian, Alastair and Tundo are all solid boys. They have driven Mitsubishi for a couple of years and for us it’s our first time out. So it will be very interesting to see how we will perform again in a similar car make though they are all in the EVO 9 models and we have opted for an EVO X. We have done one rally and we are leading the series that means we still have a very long way to go.”  He concluded.
