Three times Kenya rally Champion Carl Tundo has dared his competitors to catch him if they can ahead of the Kenya National Rally Championship which starts in Konza and Kajiado on January 27.

The 2012 KNR champion was speaking on Saturday during the feting of motorsports fraternity where top achievers were awarded at the Haveli Restaurant, Capital Centre Nairobi.

“I had one of my best seasons last year. Clinching the Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) series with 6 out of 8 wins was amazing to us. I take this opportunity to sincerely thank my navigator of 11 years Tim Jessop for the wonderful achievement.” He added.

The season will be even much tougher. Retaining the title is one of the toughest challenges which lie ahead of us. We are determined to give our best so Catch me if you can.” Said Tundo while receiving the KNR driver champion award of the year.

He however was beaten by 21 year old Shivam Vinayak for the motorsport personality of the year. The youngster beat other nominees who include Tim Jessop and five time Rally Raid reigning quad Champion Shazar Anwar for the top honours.

Shivam won the National Enduro overall title, the 125cc Enduro Championship, the FIM Central Africa Motocross Challenge and the National MX1 Championship for the fourth consecutive time with seven out of 8 wins in the season.
