Azar Anwar and Navigator Julius Ngigi have congratulated national rally championship first leg winner Baldev Charger for an astonishing drive in Kajiado last weekend.

Azar who finished in third place noted that Chager’s win shows that times are changing with  Chager managing  to break the tight grip of Mitsubishi Evolutions after powering his Subaru Impreza N16 to victory in the opener.

“We got to give credit to the winner. It was astonishing for him to break the jinx. It shows that rally is more competitive now than before. That was commendable from Chager.” He said.

The former champion who also returned third overall in the last season said Tundo and his former Dalbit teammate Alistair Cavenagh are ranked 1st and 2nd in the country and are, undoubtedly, the fastest two drivers in the KNRC currently. However he noted competition will be even stiffer.

“Personally we are happy with finishing third without facing difficulties. It was good for our team and sponsors. We are looking forward to bettering the performance in the next leg and throughout this season.” He said.
