Kakamega Coach confident in team

After qualifying for the semi finals of the ongoing Kenya Secondary School Sports Association (KSSSA) games at the Mangu school, Kakamega High coach Mike Ashimosi says his team will stop at nothing but retaining the trophy come Saturday.

The western region outfit will be facing hosts Mangu in the semi final match on Friday but will have to play Nairobi school in the last preliminary match scheduled for Thursday.

Kakamega is boosted by mental readiness as well as physical presence as seen in the first two matches where they have registered big margin wins.

“I have a side which has all the psychological advantage as they take on their opponents. Our strategy has been to study then attack our opponents. The side is capable of retaining the title we won last year.” Noted the coach.

The coach added that the fact most of his players are able to train with rugby clubs during school holidays has made the team even more difficult to handle.

“I can’t tell the outcome of the upcoming fixtures; however all I can say is we are ready for whoever we meet in the semis or finals.” He said.
