Gor Mahia has fired Croatian coach Zdravko Logarusic .This was announced on Tuesday afternoon by the club’s officials who say the coach has failed in his mandate as the club’s tactician.Logarusic  is yet to return to Nairobi from Croatia where he had gone for holiday during the international matches' break.

A letter sent to him via email signed by club secretary General, George Bwana read in part"You have not returned to your coaching duties on the day agreed and as far as we are concerned, you have deserted. The club has decided to relieve you of your duties with immediate effect". As posted on the club's official website.

Gor Mahia’s first vice chairman Faiz Ochieng while speaking to michezoafrika.com added that , “Logarusic sacked himself. Our agreement was that he reports back to the country on 18th of June, But when is today? He has not even communicated to us directly instead he pastes statements on his facebook. That is indiscipline.” Faiz says.

The management of the club has appointed assistant coach Bobby Ogolla to take  charge of the team with immediate effect assisted by the recently appointed masters’ degree holder Frank Ouna who is also a certified CAF Coach. Ouna is the current team manager of the club having replaced Tom Ogweno who fell out with the sacked Logarusic.

Bobby Ogolla was in charge of the team on Sunday during their 2-1 win over Karuturi Sports in Nakuru.

On Wednesday, Gor Mahia will take on Thika United at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani at 3:00PM.
