Sserunkuma voted Uganda’s best

Gor Mahia striker Dan Sserunkuma has been voted by the Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) as Ugandan footballer of the year 2013 beating Norway based Tony Mawejje and Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) striker Siraje Muhindo t the top crown.

According to Ugandan publication Kawowo sports, the journalists voted Sserunkuma during their monthly press meeting held at Lugogo Tennis Club on Monday 6, “Sserunkuma was recognized for his exploits that led to Gor Mahia winning their first league title in 18 years and also reach the GOtv Shield Cup finals despite losing to rivals AFC Leopards in the finals.”

Sserunkuma was voted Kenya’s best player of the season during the 2012 season , a year he also emerged as the top scorer.
