After his much publicized acquisition from Coast based outfit Bandari FC, it is now apparent that Gor Mahia will not land the services of goalkeeper trainer Rizak Siwa who has announced his commitment to Bandari for the next six months.
Siwa had been appointed to take on the role of Gor Mahia’s goalkeeper trainer but according to Gor Mahia’s secretary general “Siwa has absconded duty and its is now important Gor Mahia looks elsewhere.”
“We had agreed in principle that he starts work on January 1st and it is now more than two months yet we have not seen nor heard from him. This is very unfortunate because we turned down other prospective persons who were qualified for that position.” Said Bwana.
Siwa in an interview with michezoafrika.com said he decided to take the whole term of his contract at Bandari that is yet to end in June 2012 .He also said Gor Mahia delayed in giving him a contract.
“Yes I agreed with Gor Mahia about my moving in but we never signed
anything. Am still wiling to join Gor Mahia given chance when my
contract expires in June.My current club rejected to let me go so I had
to respect and honor the contract to the end.” Said Siwa.
Gor
Mahia’s George Bwana said the club is now exploring possibilities of
engaging a new goalkeeper’s trainer to take charge in place of Siwa.
