Updated on 22/02/12  |    By TIMOTHY OLOBULU

No Kenyan Premier League match will be played on Sunday 26th February, according to KPL. This is aimed at giving the national Team Harambee Stars ample time to prepare for their AFCON 2013 Qualifier against Togo on Wednesday.

The matches affected are Mathare vs KCB, Rangers against Western Stima and Tusker against Gor Mahia.

This comes barely a day after the Prime Minister asked all parties to work together to ensure that the national team does well in international competitions. The matches will be rescheduled to a later date.

Harambee Stars plays Togo on Wednesday in a crucial African Cup of Nations Qualifier in Nairobi at the Nyayo stadium.

The team is expected to get back to camp on Sunday after the KPL matches on Saturday.
