I wish Gor Mahia and Tusker all the best-Dennis Oliech

Harambee Stars captain Dennis Oliech has sent out a rallying call to Kenyans to remain united behind Tusker and Gor Mahia as the two teams   represent Kenya in continental championship.

Tusker will hosts APR of Rwanda in Nairobi for the CAF Champions league first round first leg match while Gor Mahia is in Maputo for the first round first leg match of the CAF Confederations Cup championship.

Oliech while talking to michezoafrika.com from his France base wished both teams all the best as they run out in search of glory and says  a good outing by the two teams will be a great for the development of  Kenya’s soccer.

“I wish both teams all the best. Tusker and Gor Mahia are strong teams in Kenya with rich history in continental football. I have been following their development and I have noted they have recruited very well. This is a good time for Kenyan clubs to send out a warning that indeed Kenyan soccer is growing and on the right track.” He said.

“A win in the starting match is always the best motivator and both teams need to start well. Tusker should work hard to ensure they avoid conceding at home while Gor should ensure they walk back home with at least a draw and an away goal to have a head start against their opponents.”  Added Oliech.

Oliech further called on Kenyan fans to ensure they rally behind Tusker this afternoon at Nyayo stadium because a win for Tusker and Gor Mahia will set the right atmosphere for Harambee Stars as they prepare to take on Togo in the CAF African Cup of Nations’ qualifier to be played on 29th of February.

Oliech will lead his side AJ Auxerre against Sochaux in a French Ligue 1 match later on  Saturday.
