Updated on 21/02/12  |    By DENNIS MACHIO

Giant soft drinks manufacturer Coca Cola will be the sponsors of the U- 17 national league to be launched across the country. This was revealed by Football Kenya Federation Chairman Sam Nyamweya on Tuesday evening during an event to unveil another sponsorship package by East African Breweries for the national team Harambee Stars.

“We will ensure both EABL and Coca Cola who have agreed to sponsor the less than 17 Nationwide league get value for their money,” Nyamweya said.

Coca Cola has been sponsoring the highly successful Copa Coca-Cola tournament that has unearthed many talents in the country.

A strong Under-17 league in the country would allow budding stars sharpen their skills in a competitive environment .This will act as a good feeder system to the senior Kenyan leagues and also to the national team Harambee Stars.
