Sharks move to third with win over Parkroad

Greensharks’ unbeaten run in the 2013 men premier league continued with a late winner over Parkroad at the City Park Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Samuel Mucheke’s back hand goal gave Sharks the much needed victory that moved them to nine points from five matches in third position behind, United States International University Africa USIU-A and league leaders Kenya Police.

It was a match of great missed chances for both sides with Sharks keeper Linus Sang keeping yet another clean sheet at the match, this being his third for the season.

Tony ,Nyikuri captain of Sharks, described the match as the fast rising local derby where they had to sweat it all to emerge victorious for the afternoon.

"The match was very difficult for both teams as it is regarded a local derby. We fought all the way with missed chances until the Mucheke’s magic was produced.” He said.

The other men premier league match pairing champions Nairobi Simba Union and Kenya College of Accountancy failed to take place due to unexplained reasons.
