Seven class Laverna maintain top spot

Mt, Laverna continued their dominance in pool B of the Nairobi Secondary Schools Sports Association girls’ hockey league, after thrashing state house girls 7-0 to take their points tally to 14 on Tuesday.

A hat trick from Winnie Bahati, a brace from  Charity Kirui and a goal each from Samantha Ariri and Naomi Wachuka ensured that Mt. Laverna now have 14 points from six matches, ahead of Second placed Pangani with 13 points  who managed 1-0 win over Kenya high. Melody Amanda scored the lone goal for Pangani.
 
In pool A, table toppers Moi Nairobi Girls have 13 points despite not being in action on Tuesday.  Precious Blood moved to a joint second position with Hillcrest Secondary after they beat Parklands Arya 2-0. Paula Karanja and Angela Iraya scored a goal each for Precious Blood. Buru Buru Girls and St. George’s battled to a barren draw.

 In the scorers chart, Meriene Sirma from Moi Nairobi Girls lead the top scorers’ chart with nine goals followed by Naomi Wachuka and Winnie Bahati from Mt. Laverna who have scored six goals each.

Jessica Kabura from Moi Nairobi Girls has scored five goals same as Tanya Buyu (P angani) and Charity Kirui (Mt. Laverna
