Nakuru Club and Bay have officially been promoted to the Kenya Hockey Premier League. The two finished n the top two promotional positions at the end of the 2013 National men hockey season that climaxed last weekend.

To create room for the two promoted clubs, bottom placed Mvita and Western Jaguars will face the axe as they have been relegated back to the lower league.

 Speaking in Nairobi on Sunday during the trophy presentation ceremony at the City Park, Nakuru Club Captain Jimmy Carter has warned the top teams to be prepared as they are ready to battle for the top diadem within the next two seasons, “I give it all to the team for working hard to attain this top honor. Gaining promotion is one thing and we are now focused to prepare for the harder challenges in the Premier League.” He said.

“I however want to warn the top teams that we will not be push over boys, the forest is the same and the monkeys are the same. We have played some of these teams before and we know exactly what to expect. For us, we target to finish mid table next season as we strategies on how best we can win the league in the coming seasons.” He added.
