Kenya Police consolidate their lead in the men’s hockey premier league with a powerful 4-0 win over Mombasa Sports Club MSC on Saturday afternoon. The immediate former champions are yet to lose a match in the current campaign winning in all their three opening matches to take their lead at the top to 9 points.

The win follows their good kick off that included a 3-1 win over KCA and a 3-0 triumph over Western Jaguars.

Samuel Wokila’s first half strike, Olivier Echenje double and Moses Chaplait’s late goal gave police the crucial points in the league standings.

While speaking to mchezoafrika.com, Chaplait said his side is more determined to regain their title and will be working hard to pocket six points from Mombasa.

“We lost the league simply because our start to the campaign last season was sluggish losing the opening two fixtures. We have rectified our mistakes and we are now playing much better to achieve our target. Against Mvita we are working for maximum points.” he said.

Police play Mvita in Mombasa on Sunday morning.
