Kenya Police are the new Kenya Hockey Premier League champions. Despite going down to visiting Kisumu Simba 1-0 on Saturday at the City Park, Police emerged champions with a superior goal aggregate.

 After eleven matches of the season, both teams managed 28 points but Police had a superior goal difference compared to their close rivals. The win dethrones Nairobi Simba who were 2013 champions having taken the title from Police who (2012 champions.)

 Kisumu played well last weekend but we had also a lot of mistakes especially failing to convert our short corners, we need to work more on these weak areas and others we have noted throughout the season for a good performance at the Africa club championships.” Said Police Captain Richard Birir.
