Kenya Hockey teams head to camp ahead of World league

The Kenya Hockey Union last weekend named the two Kenyan teams that will be taking part in next month’s World Hockey League. The first round of the competition will be taking part in Nairobi in September.

The selected teams both men and women started residential camp on Sunday 24th August in Nairobi at the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI).

Meshack Senge & Inderjit Matharu will be in charge of the men’s team while William Oketch & Jos Openda will take charge of the women’s team.

Women:

Goal keepers: Cynthia Akinyi & Ruth Njoki

Defenders:  Terry Juma, Caroline Njoki, Rachael Ousa, Flavia Mutiva, Doreen Barasa Hongo, & Lorraine Nondi.

Mid fielders: Betsy Ommalla, Caroline Guchu, Anita Agunda, Glen Namasake, Audrey Omaido, & Tracy Karanja

Forwards: Margaret Rotich, Lillian Aura, Pauline Naise & Jacqueline Mwangi

MEN:

Goalkeepers:  Linus Sang & James Kayieko

Defenders: Kenneth Nyongesa, Constant Wakhura, Richard Birir, Joseph Obare, Brian Saina, Maxwell Wakhungu, & Clayson Luvanda

Mid fielders: Felix Okoth, Willis Okeyo, Frank Wanangwe, Brian Musasia, Tony Nyikuri, Leon Magomere, Francis Esikuri & Ian Oyale

Forwards: Emmanuel Simiyu
