Kenya Hockey Union has until Tuesday 31st to determine the number of clubs - old and new- that have registered for the 2012 league before drawing up the 2012 season fixtures, Elyna Shiveka the secretary to the union has said.
Shiveka added that this has majorly contributed to the uncertainties as to when the league is set to start saying “We cannot budget for the league yet we do not have the exact number of teams participating, it is important to have good planning before we kick off, we are optimistic clubs can be able to beat the Tuesday deadline before we can close shop in receiving registration.”
Last week coaches and stakeholders agreed to have a two legged format this season thus meaning there is expected to be lots of logistical changes and an increase in the budget both for the union and for participating clubs thus proper planning is key ahead of the season kick off.
