Harambee Stars depart for Libya friendly

The Kenya national soccer team Harambee Stars departed Nairobi on Sunday morning (4:15am) for Tunis, Tunisia where they are scheduled to play against Libya in an international friendly match on Wednesday 6th February.

The team   was expected to land in Cairo Egypt shortly after 8:00am before connecting to Tunis for a midday Arrival on Sunday.

Coach James Nandwa while speaking at the airport before the team’s departure said they look forward to a positive result, urging Kenyans to rally behind them and also to put them in prayer.

“We have done all in training and we hope to bring home a good result that will help us in ranking.” He said.

Foreign based players Dennis Oliech, Arnold Origi, Victor Wanyama, Ayub Timbe and David Gateri will link up with the team in Tunis straight from their respective bases.
