Andrew Watuha of Aga Khan High School has described the elections held on Saturday by the Kenya Handball Federation Nairobi Branch as a sham.

Watuha who is the spokesman of a section of handball stakeholders coming from schools around Nairobi says they acquired a court order on Friday to stop the elections after they were barred from taking part in the elections.

While speaking to michezoafrika.com Watuha said the elections were held under unclear circumstances and against the court order, “According to our lawyer, the Chairman John Ndonga received the court injunction so we do not understand why they held the elections.”

Watuha further reveals that as much as the elections were held they were not held at the Nyayo Stadium as it was announced but at a bar in Kaloleni, “I have information that they held the so called elections at a bar in Kaloleni despite announcing it to be held in Nyayo actually it was more of allocating positions to themselves than an election.”

“There are people who went to Nyayo and did not find anybody at the venue so you wonder what is happening. The whole thing is a sham.” Watuha concluded.
